Since 29 June and until 7 August, the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre Madrid has been running a new edition of its Summer School, an educational and leisure programme involving 143 children divided into three fortnightly groups.
This year’s programme revolves around a very special theme: “Around the World by Cruise Ship”, an adventure designed to encourage participation, coexistence, and learning through shared experiences.
Welcome aboard the CFRNM Cruise!
At the start of the Summer School, participants receive a very special invitation to embark on the “CFRNM Cruise”, a symbolic journey in which each day represents a new port of call and a new opportunity to discover, learn, and have fun.
To be part of this voyage, all passengers commit to three key principles: having fun, respecting their peers, and actively participating in the proposed activities. These values form the foundation of the entire Summer School experience.

Throughout the programme, each group completes a collective passport that is stamped daily after taking part in the different activities. This playful element accompanies the children through the various stages of the journey and strengthens their involvement in group life.
As a symbolic recognition of their commitment during the voyage, those who complete all the scheduled stops will receive a special surprise at the end of the Summer School, inspired by the traditional gala dinner that marks the conclusion of major cruises.
A Journey Full of Experiences
To bring this adventure to life, the educational team has designed a route map showing the different stops along the cruise. Some take place within the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre Madrid or at Caja Mágica, while others take participants to new settings and experiences beyond their usual environment.
Each day includes activities that combine learning, sport, teamwork, and fun, allowing children to become the protagonists of their own journey.

Among the most eagerly anticipated activities is the visit to the climbing wall, a special multi-day activity that allows participants to take on new challenges and enjoy a different sport in outstanding facilities.
Discovering New Horizons
The programme also includes special outings that give participants the opportunity to explore new environments, discover different spaces, and share experiences outside the Centre. These excursions, particularly planned for the first Friday of each fortnight, are designed to broaden horizons, encourage curiosity, and provide cultural and recreational group experiences.
In addition, the CFRNM Cruise itinerary includes various symbolic stops that introduce participants to cities and countries around the world through themed activities, games, and workshops, as well as swimming pool days and other experiences specially designed for the summer season.

A Summer of Learning Through Travel
Beyond the theme that shapes this year’s edition, the Summer School at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre Madrid continues to be a space where children strengthen their social skills, build positive relationships, and enjoy a safe environment in which to grow, share, and learn.
Because every activity, every challenge overcome, and every shared experience becomes another stop on a journey that leaves a lasting mark and proves that when learning is enjoyable, any summer can become a great adventure.
